When we said 'Drinks were on the house", we meant it.
Instead of a pub crawl, a frat thing, or a floor crawl, a residence thing, we, off-campus people, had a block crawl... as we and our neighbours all decided on a signature drink, picked a date and time... and off we went to party.
Of course, drinking alcohol on the roof of your rental house's porch is a dumb idea. The bushes do cushion the fall, but people still get hurt.
It also didn't help that the people on the bus felt some of the 'boys' were being too obnoxious.
Weirdly, by the time the cops came to tell us to quiet down, I was the only one awake, having passed out 3 hours before. When they knocked, and looked at the sleeping bodies, boys, girls, a large dog, sprawled all about the living room, they must have believed me when I told them "I'm pretty sure we shut ourselves down for the night."
Sounds like you're living up the "university life"! At the very least when it comes to partying. I hope no one got too hurt falling off the roof.
ReplyDeleteWhat a funny twist on that classic saying you often hear in movies and television shows. I also hope that no one got too hurt when falling, but that's a risk you take when you're drunk, especially you're on a roof. Other than the roof part, this actually sounds like a good idea!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm sure everyone is wondering...
ReplyDeleteWhat was the signature drink?
If this was Facebook, I would like your comment.
DeleteLooks like you have some jealous neighbours that called the cops since they didn't get invited to the party.
